Menu Picker is a free collection of random meal and food pickers for lunch and dinner.
Every pick runs in your browser and uses a cryptographically secure random number generator for fair results.
What is Menu Picker
Menu Picker (menu.moneycomon.com) is a free set of tools that helps you quickly settle the everyday "what should I eat today?" question. It suggests lunch and dinner menus at random by cuisine, and lets you enter your own candidates to draw from. Use it to beat decision fatigue and to choose fairly when eating with a group.
Operating principles
- Simplicity — built so you get a suggestion with a single button press, no sign-up or install.
- Fairness — picks use the browser's cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), with modulo bias removed so every candidate has an equal chance.
- Transparency — results are clearly stated to be random choices for fun, with nothing predetermined.
- Privacy — your input and results are never sent to or stored on a server; everything runs in your browser.
How picks work
Lunch and dinner picks select one item at random from a list of representative dishes per cuisine (Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Western, snacks, fast food, Asian and other). The candidate list is a default reference made up of commonly eaten dishes. The Random Food Picker draws from candidates you enter yourself.
Disclaimer
Menu Picker results are entertainment content meant only to help you decide. They do not account for allergies, dietary restrictions or health conditions, so prioritize your own circumstances when making real meal choices. The price, nutrition and taste of suggested candidates are not guaranteed.
